Abby like most girls loves to dress up in pretty girlie costumes. The problem this year is, because of her chemo schedule, her immunity is going to be VERY low on the 31st. She will still be allowed to go to a few houses, but she will need to wear a mask that will keep her from breathing in any germs.
Have you seen a costume that looks pretty, but that would cover up the mask? I would love for her to be able to participate, but she needs to be safe too.

Abby's first Halloween
Garrett and Abby. Thirteen years apart in age, but they
have a very special relationship.
A year later, it was Landis's first Halloween. He didn't know
what to think about it all, but eventually had fun.
Aunt Rhonda and Landis
Abby and Uncle Kelly
This was a fun theme and a gentle reminder that I need to go shopping for costumes. :-)

aaawww Abby is such a cutie!
Well I was thinking that she can be a gypsy or something along those lines.
Take Care!
I haven't seen aladdin in awhile but I seem to remember a scene where Jasmine has a sort of scarf covering below her eyes. Maybe you can come up with something like that. Sort of a fancy gypsie type thing? She can have a very cute/pretty outfit that is even a princess.
Or, she could do a sort of bride. she can have a veil over her face so the mask isn't so noticeable?
I can't wait to see what you come up with and I'm praying for her!
They are adorable! I'm afraid the only idea for a costume that would cover her face is for her to be a nurse. But I'm sure that's the last thing she wants to be right now!
I hope she can go and enjoy the day! Don't eat too much candy Abby!
Oh, cute pictures! I'm going to think about the costume for Miss Abbie. I;ll get back to you on that!
What about a Jasmin costume with the sash that covers the lower half of your face. Then you can still see those beautiful eyes!
How about making her mask have a them too??? Maybe dress her up and then have someone to do some matching artwork on her mask. She'll be beautiful no matter what she wears!!!
What sweet pictures. Could she go as a nurse or a doctor in scrubs? There were cute (pink) scrubs at One Step Ahead.com.
Hey what do you think about Jasmine from Alladdin? You could drape a sheer scarf over her mask. Go to costumecity.com for an example.
Still praying for your precious family here in Louisiana.
Alicia
What if she dresses up like a harem girl (I don't meant that in the bad sense, hmmm, that sounded bad, but more like you know those costumes like Jasmine in Aladdin where she would have the lower part of her face covered up and all you could see was her mysterious eyes). Or she could go as a surgeon and have the mask be a part of her costume that way! Or a girl ninja, kicking that cancer away!
Valerie (Henry's mom)
How about a genie like "I dream of Genie" with the little veil? that would be pretty and girlie AND cover her little mask. :) HUGS! Maria
First off, I am so glad the she is feeling better. I love all of the pictures, so precious. Maybe she could be a bellydancer or something like that because they wear a mask over their mouth.I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Michelle -
What if she wore a Jasmine costume from Aladdin (http://store.costumecity.com/toddlerjasmine.html) and then had some sort of a mask that tied behind her head and hung down from her nose? I'm not very good at describing this, but I sweat that in the movie, the female character has a sort of pretty silk scarf that she wears like this to hide her face. I can't find it in the costumes, but it would probably be pretty easy to make? If you wanted to do something like this, I would be HAPPY to try to put the mask together for you. I'm NO seamstress, but I'd be happy to try! I'm thinking some pretty silk fabric from JoAnns and some trim - shouldn't be too hard!
If that sounds good, feel free to email me offline and just say, "Yes!"

You should try princess jasmine. That way she could wear a scarf over her mask.
Maybe she could be a surgeon and wear the surgeon's mask. They are great pictures!!
Happy fall!
Debbie
How about a genie with a veil. Just google "genie costume for child" and you will find lots.
Darling pics!!! Abby and your family will be in my prayers.
Costume idea, maybe Jasmine (Disney Princess) with a veil to match the costume over her mask.
She will be adorable with whatever she wears.
Have a good weekend!
Stacey
What about a Jasmine costume from Disney? She wears that veil over her face? Your daughter would look precious dressed like her!

Love the pictures!!! I am so excited to get to dress up my own baby this year. Hope you can find just the right costume for Abby.
Gail
How about a gypsie, like in Aladdin? They wear cute outfits and have their faces covered right where her mask would be. I'm glad she'll be able to participate even in a smaller way!
Abby is so cute! It looks like - from the pics - that you're pretty creative! Can't see what you come up with for her special costume.
In His Love and Blessings,

I had thought of a doctor or nurse but I think a gypsy might be more fun. I know she'll be adorable, whether her mask is supposed to be part of the costume or not.

An online friend sent me your blog address. We are praying for your dear Abby, along with the rest of the family.
Blessings,

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
Michelle,
Could she be something like 'I dream of Jeanie' that has the overlay on her face??? I will keep thinking about this, but it was the first thing that came to mind. We will look while we are out getting a care package together!!
I too was thinking of Jasmine or perhaps a little china doll who could use a fan to cover her face?
Your family is so so precious and truly touched my heart. I have something very special for you on my blog.
I am praying for your little girl
How about an princess from India?
Thank you for signing up to follow my blog.
You have a beautiful family.
Julie
How adorable!! How about Princess Jasmine? My daughter is going to be her this year and the costume has a crown with a face covering.
