Abby is having surgery tomorrow…. The doctors now consider the wound on her stomach an "emergency" and she will have the first of two surgeries tomorrow.
Normally, they would not do surgery on someone with no white blood cells, but they don't feel they can wait any longer with Abby. They'll repair the wound in two phases, one now, and finish when her white counts recover. She is still at "rock bottom" and has not turned the corner yet (as she normally has by now).
Her wound is still at its worse; her stomach is still very bloated, and she continues on several pain medications non-stop.
She is about to get a CAT Scan so they can determine what is happening (or not happening) in her stomach.
We're still at a very fragile and concerning stage. We don't like to sensationalize but Abby, medically speaking, kind of hangs in the balance right now.
God is watching over every second, and we are secure in His arms.

I know you've had Abby more than "the few months" like the RN said. With that said, I've only had my newest grandchild for 3 weeks and love him with an overwhelming love, just as I do the ones I've had eight years. With her way of thinking one would love the first child more because they'd loved them longer. If that were how loved worked, I'd feel really sorry for the 19th Duggar baby! Because of your blog, people are lifting Abby and your family up in prayer. What could be more important than that?

As for the person that left such a negative comment. Man! some people just can't be happy unless they are putting someone down.
The Bible says where 2 or more are gathered in His name...I know why you put Abby and her illness on the internet. The more praying for her the better for her. I applaud you!

Whenever you get an approximate time for her surgery could you please post it so that we followers know when to storm heaven? Not that there's not always someone praying for Abby, but for prayers to guide the surgeon, keep Abby safe and provide peace for you and Michelle would go up at that time and in the hours following. I was my father's main caretaker when he had Leukemia (I was 29/30 and my parents were divorced) Several times his life hung in the balance...I sat in the waiting room, his hospital room or ICU praying, reading my bible, or just hanging or doing all three at once!
