A dear 16 year old young lady asked me a question about whether or not her departed Believing mother was "looking down on her" from heaven.
I answered her question over on my blog: www.brentriggs.com

Thank you so much for this post it answered so many questions from your presentation..I wanted you to know we also continue to pray for Abby, my 2 1/2 year old daughter who was also borne in Guatemala watches me pray for Abby and today she put her hand on the screen and touched Abby and said "get better Abby, thank you Jesus"...it was my daughter's first prayer that she has ever said and I just wanted to share it with you...
That was a beautiful way of explaining it to that dear girl.
You have such a way with words Brent. Thank you for sharing your gift and your faith.
Brent,
The teaching movies are Amazing! I sat not only listening but hearing them all early this morning... God sent your post at the perfect time! We, Pastor & I, just talked about it in our LAST Bible Study but I still had so many questions... you covered them all :) Thank You God! (No, not you Brent) hehehe Thank YOU Brent for allowing God to speak thru you & for putting them into a movie :D
There's a reason I landed here on this site from "ONE" link... NOW I KNOW WHY!!! (Besides dear lil Abby of course)
Can U all imagine what ThousandS of links would do? ;)
Hallelujah!!!
My best friend who is my sister is in heaven due to AML.....a leukemia that hit her quick and hard. I've always hoped that she is looking down on me and your explaination helped. I am praying so hard for God's will to be done......and have the belief and faith that it will. Love to all
Thank you for explaining Heaven like that. It makes so much more sense (not to mention the comfort it brings) that way, vs. the notion that there's absolutely no "connection" to our loved ones there.
My aunt was very sick when she was here - her mental illness and lack of drive to do anything about it caused her to separate herself from my grandma and mom (her mom and sister) - pretty much all of us, honestly. She died a little over a year ago, and my mom was utterly devastated that they never got to make up. My thoughts were that now my aunt, in Heaven, is all better now. She knows, she understands how much we all loved her and how we all tried so hard to help her. That thought brought Mom and I so much peace. Your words on the subject have made it even more so. Thank you.
