My husband Tommy LOVES this video! We just showed it to our Church Youth Group last night. We have been trying to get across to our teens the importance of prayer and how people in school that we don't get along with are actually opportunites for prayer. Everyone in our life is there for a purpose. To either witness to us or for us to witness to. Opportunies for us to BE prayed for or opportunites for us TO pray for.

We used this video as an example that people aren't always who they seem to be. We talked to them about judging people based on our first impressions. We are so quick to take a glance at someone and think we know exactly who they are or the condition of their hearts. But we can not see the heart. Only God knows the heart! We are not to judge, we are merely to offer Love! Give them Jesus and HE will take care of the rest!

The Word says if they ask we are to give and give with a cheerful heart!

If we find ourselves making judgements on others. Then we are in fact the ones who need a little change.

This video REALLY touched ALL of their hearts!

My husband and I read somewhere something that has changed the way we think about these situations which moved us so much that we've decided to act on it.

Living in a big city, we are approached multiple times daily by people asking from us. Most of the time in the past when someone asked, we'd go through the whole thing in our heads: What are they gong to spend it on? What kind of addiction will it support? Are they deserving?

Now we free ourselves of all those questions when we remember that these very moments are not opportunities for us to judge the asker but for God to judge us.

I really liked the video. Very professional, very talented singer/songwriter. I loved not knowing he had a disability until the end, it had alot of impact.

I like the song and lyrics, but not that big of a fan of the video. No real reason, but I don't often like videos. I song with strong lyrics like "A Little Change" don't need videos, in my opinion.

A very touching video!
Interesting to see what was actually in the brown bag...many just assume it is alcohol.
So thankful that Jesus didn't turn his back on his neighbor (me), like so many of us do today to ours!
God bless you for sharing this message!

that was a great song. It is one that is a great reminder that what we do to the least of these we do to the Lord... and what we don't do unto the least of these we don't do unto the Lord. That question is a good one though... I've never been one to give money, especially if the person has a bottle in their hand... I would go to the nearest fast food restaurant and get the person a hot meal... or if I perhaps had on in the car that I had just picked up... I'd give that instead. I am always afraid the money would enable the drinking habit. do you think that is wrong?

Loved the video. I watched it twice.
The old man's face stayed in my mind. His eyes.
I think we judge too fast, before we know the whole story.
Thought the bag had a bottle of booze in it. NOT, a Bible. Imagine the surprise of that?
It was very moving. Then at the end to see the singer in a W/C.
Overall a great learning experience.

A couple of years ago we took our school band kids to New Orleans. We we're set up in a park and the kids began playing for those present.
An elderly african american (homeless)came up to me and asked if I had any change I could spare. He had been drinking, but I decided to talk with him. He could've been any one of us with a streak of bad luck.
I handed him a $20 and told him that I didn't care if he went and bought booze, but I wanted him to promise me that he'd get some food first.
His eyes opened wide as could be and he said, "yes mam, I sure will. Thank you, thank you, very much.
We hugged each other and he left and I continued to listen to our kids play!
Another chaperone came up to me and asked what had happened and I told her. Her response was, "You just got ripped off".
Did I? I don't think so. The deal was a meal and then his booze. I truly believe he did as I asked, because I told him I didn't care if he got booze with what was left over.
GOD is everywhere. In places we might not expect. In faces we might not believe. He is there.
Hope all this made sense-lol?

Prayers for our Abby!!!!!!!

The video really hits home...How often do we see people like the man on the video that ask us for help and we turn our backs on them. My question is what are we supposed to do for them we know that most will use the money to buy alchol...I feel bad I am a busy mom with three small children and I want to teach my children to serve others but I fell stuck when I see those in need? I have heard of people who travel with little "kits" that they can hand out that have some food and a drink in it with a message from the bible. Anybody have any ideas?

WOW! Awesome! Packed with truth and conviction. I'm speechless actually ;)

This was absolutely beautiful and, Yes, I was crying. God help us to look to each side of us and not ahead and help those in need. I know there are some whom you cannot change, but you never know who God sends your way to touch with a kind word or deed. It will make all the difference to them. I loved it!!!

This is a great video, thank you for sharing it! I liked the whole thing, but the best part is when the old man pulls a Bible out of the bag, when most would expect him to have a bottle of booze in it instead. This song touches a little close to home for me, as just this past week I have been praying for God to give me the strength to be a better wife and mother.

We all could stand to change some aspect of ourselves. Even the smallest things go a long way :)

yeah, so i was convicted. not as much by the obvious message with the man on the street, (but yes i was there too) but by the fact that as i watched it i kept thinking why is the guy just standing in the field, why isnt he moving around, doing something, etc. at the end i realized how quick i was to judge a person or situation without knowing all the facts.

as far as the song it self goes...i liked it! great sound, great words. i googled and found the rest of the album and it all sounded good. some good traditional country, cant go wrong there. way to go bradley!

thanks for sharing brent!

The video has a couple great messages. First it reminds me that the poor and down trodden are those who Christ wants us to reach out to. I know someone who calls them the "unlovely"--they are the ones who Christ calls us to love in physical and spiritual ways. We are to represent to others Christ's love to all people regardless of their physical state. I admit it's hard to move out of my comfort zone at times but I must and this video helps me remember this. Also, Bradley being in a wheelchair shows us that people in all situations can be used by God. God will use you where you are at to minister to those that are in your corner of the world. Some of us are called to travel around the world to bring Christ's message others are used right in our own backyard. The key is allowing God to use you.

Thanks for sharing the video.

Wow.. .what a powerful message that is given in just a 3 minute video. Thanks for sharing this....it really was a blessing to me!

My favorite part is the man reading the Bible at the end! Yes..."maybe it is ME that needs to change".

Thank-you!

Brent this video was awesome! We went on a mission trip to L.A a few years ago and one of our jobs was to find a homeless person totake to breakfast. Rosy came to breakfast with us and if there would not have been a time limit my kids would still be there listening to her story! We had many people ask us for money and it was awesome to see our kids fill their bags with snacks for the day and then end up giving them away. Every homeless person has a story and if we just spent a couple of minutes getting to know them they are really no different than us. I love that there was a Bible in the bag!I know I could definitely use a little change! Thanks for sharing this great video!

Wow. Messages: what you do unto the least of these, you do unto Me; how about appearances can be deceiving? How about having a servant's heart? Man, I could go on and on. Powerful message.

Thanks, Bradley!

This video is loaded with messages and surprise upon surprise. Phrases that stood out the 2nd time thru after Bradley's revelation...perfect little life...walk a mile in someone else's shoes....knees hit the ground. I will share this video, thank you for sharing it with me.

And my faith is strengthened today with the news of Abby's improvement. I'm seeing God's glory!!

The first thing that popped in my mind was "Don't be so quick to judge" The second thing was that we should always be kinder than necessary because we will never know a persons heart, or the trials they are facing or have faced.
As the video progressed I was in tears of thanks to Jesus for never forsaking me! God gave his only son so that we may have etenal life..I am sure we can spare a little change..the little change can be food for the hungry, time of service in our church, helping orphans etc., etc., we ALL have something we can give and minister through.

The one thing that stood out from the video was the older man's face after he opened his Bible. There was kindness, love, and pure joy emminating despite his plight in life. I love that it shows what the Lord can give you - happiness - and it never really matters how much you have. He is the way! I can't help but see my own weaknesses when I hear the song and watch the video as well. I most definately judge others and I know I shouldn't. It is hard when the experiences you may have had in life change your view of people and the world. But as we progress through this life and strive to become Christ like, we too can change. Thank you for sharing! I really liked it.

Wonderful message!! I immediately thought of Matthew 25:42-45. Living in NYC, I can relate to the video. Many times you don't know who will use the money for food and who will use it for drugs. Whenever I've run into someone asking for money for food, I would offer to buy them breakfast/lunch/dinner instead of giving them the money. Most times, they were grateful for the offer and readily accepted the food.

Thanks for posting that video!

The whole thing was just amazing...the thing that struck me the hardest is that, in God's eyes, I am asking God to spare some change for me, and He graciously pours out His blessings, despite the fact that I often squander what He provides. Yet I have the temerity to try to judge others before I deem them worthy of my assistance. It's a good thing God doesn't treat me that way.

I, too, struggle with the "will he use this for drugs/alcohol" so I will often bring a meal or have even taken a lady grocery shopping. BUt the teh scripture "give to those who ask..." haunts me when I decide not to give.

I was struck first by the eyes and the hands of the old man asking for change.

I worked with the homeless men in our area for a couple of years. Our church would pick these men up and bring them to church on Sunday. After church they would go to my car and "shop". I would have stacks of jeans, shirts, sweaters, jackets, hats, scarves, belts... basically anything they might need. I would always have new white socks for them. All the rest of the stuff was from yard sales or given to me. I learned a huge lesson while doing this ministry. I learned not to judge them, but just to love them. I would always give them a hug and pray with them. I was asked once if I wasn't afraid I would "catch" something. My response was that I was protected just as Jesus was when he dealt with the lepers and others with diseases.

Was I surprised when the old man took out a bible??? Maybe, but not really. If you look at the man's face and his eyes, you can see the love of God in them.

All of us are said to be "only one paycheck or illness away from being homeless." There is much truth in this statement.

Bradley did an amazing job with the video and the song. When I realized he was in a wheelchair, my heart broke. But then I was honored that this man looked beyond his disability and took an opportunity to show God's love. We all with disabilities could learn a lot from him.

Excellent video! The old man's sad face is what stuck with me. And yes, I assumed there was liquor in the bag....

Laci said...

The part that stuck out to me most was when he sang how he drove away in anger and saw the man's sadness in the mirror. It is so easy to get irritated by things like that just because we don't want to take the time or feel the pain of the reality of it. We often live by our own emotions and do not consider how another person may feel about it.

This video was very moving. I admit shamedly that I have a 'bad attitude' about those on the street sometimes. This video changes my heart in a way that made me realize, "What if it was me on the street down and out?" "What if I needed food, etc?" It could happen to any of us. Just the presence of the man needing help and the words of the music were very moving and touched my heart for the good. The end made me cry as well because the singer (if that's Brad) knows what it's like to be down and out and different. Thank you for sharing this with me! It means so much! God used this to change my heart for the good.

Thank you for the inspiring song and video. I have my problems, as we all do. But, I have so many more blessings, the greatest being a child of God, and having His undeserved mercy. The song and video together touches a part deep inside my heart...there, but for the grace of God go I. May God's love be evident in our lives, and may it be evident "before" the opportunities pass by. Thank you. Carol Crabtree

It put my wrong leg up. Nice sounding voice with good lyrics and then driving off in a wheelchair. Briljant.

God has given me alot of nudges to give to homeless people and I do that as often as possible. The rewards are astonishing. The smiles say enough. The next step for me is not to give money alone but also start to a conversation and spend time.

:) Bradley is an AWESOME singer... luv his voice! The Video is also GREAT!

What stuck out? When the man took out the bible from the 'brown bag' & smiled :)

Most apparent message? Hard to pick ONE! ~ Always carry a spare Bible to give away to someone who may need it... not be judgemental... keep an open mind... not let self-pity of my own physical issues get in the way of helping others AND MOST IMPORTANT? to NOT pass up the chance/oppurtunity to carry God's Word :)

OK... *excuse my unclear mind last night (rough day)* so AFTER I started reading comments I watched the Video AGAIN Today! And noticed the man HAD a bible in the bag NOT a bottle :D But my last comment I cannot take back STILL stands! :) ... I walked in those shoes!
