Can We Know For Sure?

I was recently asked: "Can a person really be sure they are genuinely saved?"

This wasn't a question about "eternal security" (commonly termed "once saved, always saved"). This was a question about knowing in your heart and mind with assurance that you have genuine saving faith... that your salvation is real... that you aren't living a lie or being deceived.
