Here is the second yard that has been added to our "mowing for the widows"

In another elderly couple's yard that we mow, they have this one single

I have no idea what kind of flower this is. I'm sure some of you do.

Abby and some fresh picked roses that "Miss Dorothy"
(our elderly neighbor) picked and put in a vase.

AND look at all her lovely hair!!!! Those flowers are nothing compared to that doll baby! Blessings.
Wow! The Widow Lady reminds me off a Great-Aunt who was still raking @ 97yrs old! That is so kind that you are doing this for the elderly!!! :-) I remember the smiles I'd get when I mowed & raked for elders, their eyes would sparkle! :-) I have to laugh because the older Mom gets the more "things" to mow around! But we are NOW improving yard with flat blocks for easier mowing!
That flower & those roses sure are BEAUTIFUL along w/that child next to them! WHO is that? ;-) hahaha
Abby's hair sure is coming in GREAT! :-)
Thanks for sharing w/us in blogland.
Wonderful & Blessed Summer Days ahead!
Looks like an amaryllis. They are fun to watch grow and bloom every year. They grow SO quick, seemingly overnight. Abby looks great!
First, I love the second pic of Abby holding the roses.
Second, I'm so happy to see Abby's hair growing back.
Third, I love the little blurb you added in your comments box "go away." That made me smile.
Think of Abby and pray for her often,
Sandy
Look at that girls hair! WOW. It is coming in nicely! Gorgeous!!! Lovely pictures. Love your blog!
I agree those flowers are AWESOME! Yes, I agree it looks like an amaryllis. I know because someone gave me one as a bulb this winter to enjoy in the house. I can't keep ANYTHING alive, so I thought, "Great. A sweet gesture, but this thing will never survive." Well, it grew and grew like crazy until the stem actually broke under the weight. Sooo, I guess I did kill it, but it was only because I didn't know the stem would break!
Great pics...she is of course adorable!! I love the idea of mowing for widows. Reminds me of a neighbor down the street where I grew up and bless her....one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. Our family was always helping...mow, scoop snow, etc. Of course there were times when she tried to do it herself...at 84 years old. My goal is to be like her!!!
Awe. Love this post and the picutres of Abby. Love the sweetness in her eyes.
Brent, take it from someone who knows(i am a widow and take care of my own yard) it is very hard, but you have to do it if it takes you 2 or 3 days, so i know that these ladies are so thankful and happy to have you lend a loving hand to them. Sometimes you have to just let things go, but God will always provide what i need. Thank you for caring and thinking about people like this, we need more people like you . Abby looks beautiful as usual, but her hair is coming back so fast, WHAT A DOLL YOU ARE ABBY, still praying for you everyday. Enjoyed your message also. God bless your family.
Abby is absolutly gorgeous!!!
The flowers don't even compare to her beauty. Glad to see her doing so well. God is smiling down on your family:) Blessings and love
Brent,
Beautiful pictures - and WOW, all the hair Abby has now!
But, I wanted to tell you - I'm not elderly, but am a single mom and am ever grateful that my neighbor has "adopted" my back yard to mow.
It makes all the difference in my world, and I am ever grateful!
Know that you are blessing these women more than you'll ever know....
I absolutely adore!!! the last photograph of Abby and the flowers!
...and what a GREAT ministry you guys have, mowing for widows! Every time I see an elderly person mowing their own lawn I feel like pulling my car over and helping.
Abby Abby Abby, you look so beautiful & healthy! I pray for you little angel... I love how your hair is growing!
