First, I'm just bone weary tired getting only 3-4 hours of sleep almost every night this week. So I'm not going to do a lot photos tonight.
We finished our last morning at Give Kids the World Village and checked out. We took the two older boys to the airport and they flew back to Oklahoma. They'll be staying with grandmother at our house until we get back.
Our gracious life-long friends, Darron & Tracy, who live near Cocoa Florida, graciously invited us to stay the 2nd week at their home. What a blessing!
So today was a transition from theme park insanity to lazy beach relaxing and hopefully lots of tennis. I've played competitive tennis for 20+ years, and Michelle played in college too. We rarely get on the court now because of work, kids and distance but hope to get in several matches this week.
We've got some other things planned this week, and we'll keep you updated.
Fun Story of the Day
We stopped by GatorLand on the way to the airport. The trainer was giving kids a chance to "wrestle" a real gator (come sit on him and hold his mouth). A REAL gator, and not some baby one either.
Landis was terrified. Sami came out of the shoot full of false bravado but chickened out. The teens conveniently disappeared... and Abby marched right over and sat right down on the gator without a hint of hesitation!

The master gator wrestler coaches Abby on how to handle the reptile..

Abby is now an honorary gator wrestler.
She's not afraid of the beast...

... in fact, Abby is so good at it, the she places her head
inside a giant gator's mouth. Landis and Sami jump on his neck
to try to save her!
Lots of pics tomorrow. I need some sleep. Looking at maybe 7 hours tonight which is double what I've been getting.

Hey, since y'all are in the Cocoa area, you should hop in a car and come down to Sebastian to watch some skydivers!!
I have so enjoyed your posts this week=Your family feels like family to us and we are so blessed to get the updates. Get some rest and remember we'll keep the prayers lifting you up. Kathy Clements, Newbern, TN.
Such a brave little girl! No doubt all she has been through
is in part the reason she is so courageous! The picture you took of her sitting on it will be a trophy photo for her in the future!
Whew, what a week you all have been treated to! And, so deserved! God is gracious,
good and generous!
Now you all need to get some much needed R&R! (Including plenty of z's!)
Blessings to all,
Bobbie

I start Chemo on Thurs. and watching her "wrestle gators" and having so much fun at MY PERSONAL FAVORITE PLACE ON EARTH, has made me smile all week! Thank YOU and GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to learn more about Abby and read moire of YOUR amazing words!
What an awesome week, albeit exhausting for the grown-ups whose emotions had to be going on as much over drive asthier bodies!!
Enjoy the next week of real vacation, bask in your wonderful dream-come-true memories, rest, relax, play as much tennis as your knees and elbows will allow, have a great next week!! Thanks so much for "bringing us all along" with your updates and photos. The kids, Charlie and I have all so enjoyed it!

That's our Abby!
You go girl! Abby, you are so very brave. I am not sure I could even get close to one, let alone sit on it. I am so glad you are enjoying your Disney dream vacation, You definitely deserve it. Although I am not there to see you having fun, the smile on your face tells all. You take care of yourself and make sure your Dad gets some sleep when you all get home. Although he sure sounds tired, I know he wouldn't trade any amount of sleep to make his precious little girl happy. Abby, your parent's rock!

I am so glad Abby feels well enough to be on her special trip. She looks fantastic. Bangs and all.
Love,
Sandy
Look at Abby go she could be the next Gator Hunter on TV. God bless her. She looks so calm and like a true pro. I think the gator felt her blessed presence and behaved :) Thanks for sharing your week of wonderment with us, it's been a real treat.
Good job, Abby! Taking on an alligator is nuthin' compared to kickin' cancer!
