Please Pray Today

My card reader is broken, so I am not able to upload any new pictures. I thought would be fun to show you a picture of Abby when she was 10 months old. I love seeing that smile.

Today is a day that I have been dreading for weeks. Today, Abby gets a spinal tap, so that chemo can be injected into her spinal column. Never fun, but since they are also checking the pressure, they will not be able to sedate her for the procedure. Other clinics around the country sedate patients beautifully, especially when they are checking intracranial pressure. Our clinic does not.

Three weeks ago, Abby had obvious signs that her pressure was very high (bad headaches and her eyes were crossing). In the past, every time her eyes start crossing, her pressure were very high. If the pressure is left untreated, it can cause brain damage, vission loss and hearing loss.

Now, Abby seems to be doing much better. She has some symptoms that could be from the pressure being to high in her skull, but they can also be caused by other things. Brent and I are very hopeful that Abby's pressure will be normal when they check it this morning.

One nasty thing that can cause the symptoms Abby is having, is cancer returning (relapse). Obviously we are praying they don't find any cancer cells in her spinal fluid.

Would you please pray that:

God's will is done.
Abby would be calm and pain free during the procedure.
They will figure out the cause of the symptoms she is experiencing.
For wisdom for Brent, her doctors and I.

If her pressure is elevated, we will be seeking a second opinion. Please pray that we would be able to arrange it quickly and for God to provide the money necessary to obtain it.
