Abby's Heart

From Michelle:

Every year Brent not only buys me a Valentine's Day present, he also chooses something special for our girls. I love that he knows how to pick the perfect gifts to make his girls feel loved.

This year Abby and Hannah are breaking tradition by asking Daddy to buy them a specific gift. They have their hearts set on a beautiful Valentines Day t-shirt. While they love the design, what they love most is that for every shirt purchased an African orphan will receive a shirt and a pair of shoes. Abby's face lights up as she dreams about a little girl like her getting some clothes she desperately needs.

Could you help them too? They are taking orders until February 1 st at noon. Click here to order.

Be My Valentine

Below is a message from a friend's blog. Looking at these precious faces makes me long to spend a lifetime living and working in Africa.

As of today, we have sold 589 HopeChest T shirts!! We only need 11 T’s to reach our “new” goal of 600. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know Tom Davis and the children are jumping up and down right now in Africa! Please join me and praying that we hit 600 by Feb. 1st! Together, lets break some crazy T shirt records!

We’ve exceeded the 400 goal and are now opening up to older kids…we have set a new goal for HopeChest Project “Shirts For Shoes” Please pray we can sell an additional 200 T shirts to provide new shoes for OLDER orphans at the Kolfe Orphanage in Ethiopia. Their shoes cost 3x more $. Please donate now-click here.

I think you stopped MY heart by putting that title on this blog. It scared me until I read the blog. I was afraid to click. Your girls are very sweet wanting to help other kids! :)

Michelle, thank you so much for your cheers & support for Shirts For Shoes Project. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of sooo many amazing bloggy friends. Pray for me- now we have the thrill of rolling & mailing out over 600 T shirts- the snow delayed Mr. UPS from dropping off our first shipment of t shirt. It's going to be Crazy!!! :)
Blessings,
Kari

So awesome that you and your girls are doing this for the kids in Ethiopia. We're buying them for Valentine's Day presents as well. Keep spreading the word! We want to help as many orphans as possible this Valentines Day.

That is so awesome! I want one of those t-shirts! This is totally off subject, but I haven't heard anything about how Garret's doing in a while. Could you write an update? I pray for him every night and it would help to know the specifics.
