Pine tree behind our house; several big limbs broken off

Ice coating the trees, now snow falling on them too.

See that power line that is only about 10 ft off the grown because
of our neighbors tree hanging on it?

Ice is beautiful but dangerous.

Ice, broken limbs and icicles.

Grateful that you all are OK! Nice photo shots but wow! the damage that can be done...
Yesterday when I drove out, I was thinking I should've put on my Ice Skates instead! lol Roads were horrible.
The Ice looks really neat. Remember to have your water (sinks)dripping to help keep pipes from freezing and bursting.
Stay safe and warm. We're thinking about you guys and praying that your power stays on for the rest of this storm.
I'm near Tulsa, we have the same storm system but less ice than you have to deal with. It's still enough that it's a mess and the roads are dangerous.
Wow that is quite an ice storm! Glad to hear the power is back on and you're all nice and cozy.
So happy to hear Abby is doing better with her headaches AND that was such good news about Avalon!
How's your son recovering these days?
Blessings to all.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing, hope that ice doesn't come our way though.
Oh man, stay warm! Thanks for sharing those photos!
For some reason, when IS at down, Garrett came instantly to mind...so I thought I would come over for an update....how is his recovery coming along?
Please let him know that I am praying for his healing!

Isn't Mother Nature the most magnificent artist. Her destructive power takes our breath away (witness Haiti and New Orleans), yet her paintbrush creates such glorious canvases. Amazing. I'm so glad you are alright, and thrilled with the good news about Abby. The power of prayer is pretty amazing too, I'd say.

Yes, many dangers come along with an ice storm, but I can't help but see the beauty of an ice covered landscape!
