Long Awaited Not So Fun Day

From Michelle:

We have been talking about Abby's airway for at least 6 months. She has had problems breathing for longer than that but it has been getting more intense.

Today (Monday) Abby will be going to surgery, where she will be sedated for a bronchoscopy. We pray they will be able to learn what is causing Abby's breathing difficulties.

Part of me is hoping and praying they find out what is wrong but I would love even more for Abby to be miraculously healed and this chapter to be closed.

There are always risks with tests. When my daughter, Katie, had this very test, she had bronchial spasms so bad that she ended up in pediatric ICU. I know that "never" happens but I will always remember watching her struggle to breathe.

Please pray for Abby's safety, answers and that they are able to get samples of anything suspicious while they are doing the test.

Thank for for loving Abby enough to take time to pray for her.

Michelle,

I am praying that Abby will be healed. I am also praying for your peace.

I also lost a baby girl to breathing problems and her twin sister had to have a bronchoscopy, it made me very worried (she was a preemie and has many other health complications). While she wasn't miraculously heald by prayers, people were praying for me to have peace during the procedure and it helped greatly.

I will have my women's group pray tomorrow morning when we meet for your peace and Abby's healing

We will continue to pray for Abby. That God's Hands guide the doctors and His life giving breath fills Abby and completely heals her.

Dear Michelle,

Each keystroke, such a burden to lift your finger to type. Each test, watchful for the ensuing potential side effects/complications. Each new frontier, a memory from the past. Here I am crying out to God because of my unmet desires...and I am honored to lift you up!

Still praying for your precious girl! Funny thing happened a couple of months ago. I work with an orphanage in India and a team was there visiting at the same time I was there and I had on my Pray for Abby T Shirt. They recognized it and also follow your blog and pray for Abby. Reminds me of what a small world we really live in.

Hang in there - hang tight to Jesus. Praying for you all.

We are praying for precious Abby and for Mommy and Daddy + siblings throughout the whole process. you all have endured so very much, always with a Godly spirit and testimony for the rest of us, and we are blessed deeply because of it! God's plan and purpose is being carried out in your lives and Abby's, too, and I believe He has great the mighty things for Abby! Press in, Press on, and press through...and remember FROG: Fully Relying On God! He is your Sustainer and Abby's Healer.

With blessings and love from one who only knows you through blog land; yet knows you are my brothers and sisters through the One who gave us life and gave His life!

Dear Lord, I lift Abby up to you today. I ask you to comfort her before, during, and after her procedure and let her feel no fear or pain. I ask you to guide the hands of her doctors and give them your wisdom and insight. I pray that Abby will be healed, whether miraculously by your power alone or miraculously by your power through the work of her doctors. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Michelle - I never tire of hearing Abby updates. While I would love to hear of miracles and no pain for your sweet and beautiful daughter, I would rather hear more of the same than nothing at all. I appreciate any updates you share. We are praying for Abby.

You have mentioned Katie a few times now, which I assume due to going through what you are with Abby it brings back those old feelings and fear of what you experienced with Katie. Maybe this is way out of line, but would you care to share more about Katie? How old was she? How did you come to be her mom? and any thing else you would want to share. My heart breaks for you and your loss. I pray for miracles and comfort. - Vonda
