Auction Winners & Some Cool New Auctions

From Brent

If you didn't see it, the last post was an "Abby Update". Read it here...

Here are the results of the last auction:
  • Auction 1: Canister Set - Miranda (blog) - $35
  • Auction 2: Bowls - Kris (blog) - $40
  • Auction 3: - Cups and Toy - Olivia (blog) - $50
Each bidder can PayPal their donation here or contact me for other payment options if necessary. Please send me your mailing address so your items can be shipped to you.

Please visit their blogs when you get a chance. We appreciate their generous donations and joining us in our mission for orphans.

Also, big big thanks to Sioux B. for donating the items. Be sure to help us say thank you by visiting her Tupperware store online when you get a chance. She didn't ask us to put up her link, we asked her.

Auction Donations

Well, you see how this all works, and the blessing for all involved is that EVERY PENNY is going to adopt orphans. All of us (the donation giver, the bidders, and our family) share equal blessing in this effort to rescue orphans through adoption.

Do you have something you can donate to be auctioned? Holler at me: brent@brentriggs.com For those of you who have businesses or products, we are happy to let people know how to find you as part of the donated item(s) you give.

New Auctions

Here are the newest auctions. We'll leave these up over the holiday weekend since people typically don't mess with their blogs on holidays.

Leave your bid for one or more of these. One bid for each item or group of items. Each item or group of items is being auctioned separately.

Blog Makeover

Carla at MastoMamaMakeOvers is donating a blog makeover with the proceeds going to Abby's Wish. Jump over to her blog and check out her work then make a generous bid for this normally $40 service. If you've been wanting a blog redesign, this is a chance to get one, and invest in a wonderful work too!

Donation-bids (be sure to leave an amount, and something to identify you like name or blog):

Rainbow Roll

The Rainbow Roll is a great way to get your child's art supplies organized and ready to travel. All the colors in the rainbow fit in this handy little roll. It holds 16 regular crayons, twistable crayons, or pipsqueak markers (skinny ones). This little roll is very compact and will fit in your purse, a small backpack, or your coat pocket. It is made from 100% cotton fabric (choose any fabric combination from sidebar) and features 16 individual pockets for crayons or markers. When rolled up, it is secured with a covered button stretchable band- very easy to manage (crayons and markers not included). This is a perfect gift for any child on your list. New: $18

Donation-bids (be sure to leave an amount, and something to identify you like name or blog):

Handmade Baby items

2 burp cloths, one princess and one butterfly. They are made from thick cloth diapers, and can be used for just about any type of baby mess. They measure a little over 18x12". There is a flower striped lovey blanket. It has a multi colored front, and a solid green back. It is made with 2 layers of non-pill fleece, and is perfect for cuddling. Measures about 14" square.

Lastly, there are 2 sequin flower headbands. The headbands are made with a soft shimmery elastic and fit 6 months and up. The flowers are attached to clips so you can wear them by itself if you'd like. The total value of the set is approximately $30

Donation-bids (be sure to leave an amount, and something to identify you like name or blog):

Jensen iDock Sound System

Michelle and I are donating this item. We don't have the box but it is virtually brand new. I think it was plugged in one time to hear the sound. Perfect new condition.

It works with iPhone, iPod, etc; has an alarm and radio with great sound. We have the power cord and remote. The manual can be downloaded. It was about $129 new.

Donation-bids (be sure to leave an amount, and something to identify you like name or blog):

Memorex Nature Sound System

Michelle and I are donating this item too. We don't have the box but it is virtually brand new as well, used very little. It sat in my library mostly untouched. Perfect condition.

This is cool because it has an assortment of nature sounds. You can use the alarm system with the CD, radio or nature sounds. It has good sound and it a nice little compact sound system.

Donation-bids (be sure to leave an amount, and something to identify you like name or blog):

Personalized Autographed Books

I'm donating a set of my published books that I will personalize-autograph however you want. Most of the time I joke that my autograph will probably lower the value of my books, but I'm hoping this might make a good gift for someone you know who is serious about their Christian study and growth. The SeriousFaith Volume One alone is over 700 pages of my teaching. This set is a lot of good reading that would retail for at least $129.00.

The printing and shipping costs will be about $50, so I'll open the minimum bid with that. In other words, it will cost me about $50 just to give this set, so the "donation" portion will be anything over that amount. If I get multiple bids over $50, I'll consider sending out several sets (after asking each bidder if they want it).

So, this book thing IS NOT a HIGH BIDDER thing. Anyone who bids over $50 (to cover costs) will get a set. Okay?

If I have won the auction what do I do now? I am new to your blog. Love what you are doing. Your children are all beautiful! So sorry to hear Abby is not doing well. I am thinking of her and she is in my prayers!
