They pumped Abby with 2 liters of GoLytely and it's done nothing. They are going to do another two liters.
If that doesn't work, they are talking surgery for Abby which would be a milestone setback for her at this point.
I'm trying to juggle house and other kids, and walking a tightrope with my job, trying to decide whether to cancel this VERY important trip.
[insert huge dizzying sigh here....]
God is good. He cares for us each step of the way no matter how hard it is. We count our blessings knowing there are people without jobs, with sicker kids, without freedom, without provision. We have a truly blessed and comparatively easy life when you consider the depths of suffering on this blue planet.
Thank you for your prayers and continued love for Abby and our family.

We are Praying that Abby does NOT need surgery and for wisdom for Brent in making his decsion for travel. We know first hand how difficult it is to try and juggle our daily lives while having a sick child frequently in the hospital!! Brent....still praying that you have a very blessed and Happy Fathers Day!!

A friend directed me here, knowing we've dealt with impactions for years with my daughter. Lydia's last one did result in surgery... But prior to that we skirted such intervention a number of times with gentamycin (the IV form given in the gut: oral/g-tube, doesn't absorb into the blood stream). Gent was originally given to her for the possiblity of bacterial overgrowth contributing to constipation. The side effect of clearing her out was such a blessing! Hugs to you all!

Praying for it to work and for Abby's pain to be gone, for any hint at infection to be demolished in Jesus' name and for wisdom as you make decisions about traveling.
My prayers are with you all. Thank you for sharing with all of us what is happening with Abby. Michelle said something about not wanting to burden the readers or something along those lines - it is a burden it is a gift to pray for you all and Abby and know what our specific prayers can be.
