Abby, Sunsets & Parenting

From Brent

Abby has been having some fevers this week. She went to the ER once for blood work. She started school this week so we think maybe she picked up a bug. Pray with us that she will get past it. We are on the home stretch...

I wrote a post about parenting over on my blog - www.brentriggsblog.com - It's a dialog I had with a Dad about one of his kids who would "punish" he and his wife by ignoring them and withholding love if she didn't get her way. Pretty interesting. Thought you might find it worth a read.

Here's a sunset I caught looking down the road from our house tonight. It's not Colorado but still beautiful.

It's gorgeous. I think that is a print you ought to sell. (Make some moolah for your adoption!) Sometimes I see photos or paintings like that of Nebraska or Kansas in doctor's offices etc. and it makes me realize that while these places are not Colorado they still have a beauty we can sure appreciate. God bless you and dear little Abby. Liz F. Lincoln, NE

My daughter, her husband and our grandson moved to Norman a year and a half ago and they just purchased five acres of land in the country, somewhere between Norman and Moore. They will be building their dream home in a couple of years. It is beautiful if you can tolerate the August heat.

Those are gorgeous! And we continue to pray for Abby. Barely a day has gone by that we have not prayed for her since the big scary time a while back. Abby is a household word around here. The other day we went to our local picnic for peds oncology, and the boys were asking if Abby would be there. : ) Love you guys!!

The pictures of the sunset on your road are beautiful. What a tranquil looking area. CT just doesn't look like this. We hope to get out west some day to see the other part of our country. Thanks for posting the beautiful scenery.
