Earthquake!

From Brent

Holy cow!!! I've done tornadoes and hurricanes my whole life (Oklahoma and Florida). But an earthquake?

We just had an EARTHQUAKE in Washington, OK!!! Not bad. No damage but everyone is "buzzing" right now... our next door neighbor has lived here 60 years and never felt one.

Wow... I can see why people are so scared of them. You are totally helpless as the ground moves below you...

Wow.....

My niece in Norman felt it. A little excitement for her and her two year old. Glad it was small.

I had to hear about it on the radio from
The House FM coz even though other people felt it in Stillwater, I did not.
I was in a severe earthquake in Italy in 19 (mumble) er, 76 and it was so spooky!!!!!!!!!!!! Ones 3rd story apartment should not be rotating around and rockingunder neath them!! It is an incredibly helpless feeling, agreed!! Y'all OK? No plates falling off the shelves and breaking, nothing like that??

That's Crazy!

Now ... those of us who live in the Pacific NW are very familiar with earthquakes ... I can't even count how many I've been in. But, I'm sure, if you aren't familiar with them, they could be quite scary.

The craziest earthquake I was in was when I was a little girl and our family was visiting the Redwood Forest in CA. When the earthquake hit, my brother and I were walking on a VERY large fallen over Redwood tree. My mom kind of freaked out when the tree rolled a bit. (We kids thought it was funny.)

Tornadoes and hurricanes, though? No ... I've never seen one of those.

That's like WOW! Hoping the shaking of the nerves for ya'll down there is over too! Never experienced any of the above mentioned & don't think I'd like em' either!!!

There's an online constantly updated list by gov. that tracks earth quakes & I've noticed that OK does have LOTS of them but didn't know how strong that'd have to be to feel them... WOW!

Earthquakes are very strange indeed. We had a very small one in CT several years back and it appeared the room I was in was rolling like a wave. I looked at my husband and said, "Was that just an earthquake?" Very scary and not the norm here.

Growing up in Southern California - I am used the rocking rattling and rolling.... it's funny when I go out of state - people would say how can you live CA with all those quakes - I laugh and say how can you live there with snow, tornadoes, and hurricanes.... I'll take our quakes..

Love to you
