WOW, what a wonderful post! How awesome and beautiful that you're adopting again! Every time I see Sami's face I smile because it's so clear that the Lord provided for her 100% physically, emotionally, mentally, and obviously spiritually while she was waiting to come home to her forever family. It's just gorgeous!

Thank you for sharing your heart & your sweet story! It was just what I needed to hear as we anticipate meeting our little girl & bringing her into our family! It is so scary to take steps when you don't know where they will lead, but thank goodness we have such a great God who leads us every step of the way & gives the grace we need to meet every challenge! Yes, Natalie was born in Memphis. Her adoption was the fastest on record :) Our boy's adoption from Guatemala took 16 months and her adoption took 10 weeks (start of paperwork to coming home)!!

Michelle, that was so awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing that and I pray that when Adanech get's home I will be able to type the same type of post. It is scary to go into the unknown, but we too are choosing to follow God on this and pray for His will to be done. I can't wait to see what God has in store for your family next. Your post brought tears to my eyes and laughter to my lips!! I so clearly remember those terrified feelings while we waited to bring Carlos home (and a few of those feeling after he arrived home). But God knew the exact child for our family and I'm so glad that we followed His leading. Your family is so very beautiful!! And as my college roommate said: “You are now living both pictures of the Gospel through your marriage and your children”.

Let me pray for you!
Father God- thank you for your constant love for us as Your children! We know we don't deserve it but we are so thankful for it!
Father, sometimes, Your ways are so great and Your plans so big that we are afraid, just like the little tyke at the top of the slide, not wanting to go down for the first time, not understanding the freedom of the wind in your face and the fun butterflies in your tummy on the way down. Lord, You have proven Yourself to us time and time again to be FAITHFUL and WORTHY of our trust, and yet sometimes, in our weakness, we still struggle to trust You one more time. I pray that You will fill Michelle up with faith afresh. Please Lord, fill her up with all joy and peace as she trusts in You so that she may overflow with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit! Lord, the fact that you are calling this family once more to open their hearts and home to another child means that You Love them and desire to bless them beyond what they can even comprehend! Lord, I ask for you to minister to Michelle's heart right now. You know her fears, her spoken ones and her unspoken ones and You have already promised to provide for her every need according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Would you just bring back to her mind floods of memories that highlight Your faithfulness in her personal life? You know what encouragment she needs and I ask for You to bless her abundantly for her choice to say YES to Your call, despite her uncertainties. Please bless this family Lord with prosperity, health and spiritual blessings according to Your plans for them.

It's late my friend and I should have been in bed hours ago but I will have to share with you my testimony about being called to adopt from Ethiopia. Oh my. I can relate to your inner protests.
